Designed for key substation assets such as main transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, surge arresters, and instrument transformers, the solution supports automated execution of preset routes and inspection points. Drones equipped with visible-light and infrared thermal payloads complete autonomous takeoff, hover capture, temperature collection, return, and charging, while transmitting defect images and thermal data to the O&M platform in real time. Supported by an intelligent dock network, the system performs scheduled inspections by cycle, time window, and strategy. AI algorithms identify risks such as insulator contamination, bushing cracks, and overheated joints, generate defect reports, and push work orders to improve the precision and intelligence of substation asset health management.
Transmission and Distribution Line Inspection
INSPECTION OF TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION LINES
For overhead transmission and distribution lines, drones fly autonomously along line corridors to collect high-definition images of conductors, insulators, fittings, towers, and other critical components. Combined with LiDAR point-cloud data, the system analyzes foreign objects, vegetation intrusion, and spatial clearance. Defects such as cracked clamps, broken strands, and missing insulation are automatically located and converted into warning work orders. By integrating multispectral sensors with professional vision algorithms, the platform identifies common issues including damaged insulators, conductor strand breaks, corroded fittings, over-height trees, and external-force risks, generating inspection reports with defect type, severity, GPS location, and field imagery for preventive, digital line maintenance.
